Project Outline:
Artist Selection & Collaboration:
We collaborated with Sahil Roy to create a striking mural over the travelator at Stockland Gables, transforming the space with bold visuals that engage the senses. Sahil was commissioned to produce a site-specific artwork reflecting his distinctive style while connecting with the local community. Given Sahil’s South Asian heritage and the significant South Asian community in the area, the design used abstract forms to create a visual connection that felt meaningful and inclusive. We guided a collaborative process with Stockland and community stakeholders to ensure the artwork responded thoughtfully to the site and its surroundings.
Project Planning & Support:
Our team managed all practical aspects of the mural’s creation including site access, installation scheduling, and sourcing premium materials. We provided on-site support to assist Sahil throughout the process and ensure the highest standard of execution.
Public Engagement & Legacy:
The mural, titled ‘Future Fabric’ now delivers a dynamic visual experience along the travelator, enriching the journey through the space. It celebrates the artist’s creative expression and the character of the local community, demonstrating how public art can transform everyday environments into memorable cultural experiences.
